Night of the Ancient Fires
The Night of the Ancient Fires is an annual happening in the archipelago. Bonfires are lit every year on the last Saturday of August to remember the old tradition of lighting fires along the coastline, guiding seafarers safely ashore. To celebrate the day we are keeping our doors open with free entrance from 17.00-24.00. Join us for a really nice evening and take a break to watch Rosala’s own bonfire together with villagers and holiday residents!
Book your trip, including the dinner, with a bus from Turku, or for example Sauvo or Kemiö, with Launokorpi from firstname.lastname@example.org or +358 40 5417 033.
If you are on the mainland, you can book places on the boat transport departing from Kasnäs at 17.15, and from Rosala at 22.00. The price for a round-trip ticket is 22,00 euros / person (or one way 15,00 / person). Children (3-12 years old) are half price.
At the 2020 event on Saturday 29th August we will have a Viking feast that you can participate in at 5.15 pm and 6.30 pm in the Chieftain’s Hall. Price for the dinner is 34,00 euros / person, children 4-14 years old are half price. Please, make a booking in advance.
Our café is open serving hamburgers starting at 5 pm.
