Night of the Ancient Fires
The Night of the Ancient Fires is an annual happening in the archipelago. Bonfires are lit every year on the last Saturday of August to remember the old tradition of lighting fires along the coastline, guiding seafarers safely ashore. To celebrate the day we are keeping our doors open with free entrance from 18.00-24.00. Join us for a really nice evening and take a break to watch Rosala’s own bonfire together with villagers and holiday residents!
If you are on the mainland, you can book places on the boat transport departing from Kasnäs at 18.30, and from Rosala at 22.00. The price for a round-trip ticket is 20,00 euros / person (or one way 14,00 / person). Children (2-12 years old) are half price. We need a minimum of 15 passengers to be able to organize the transportation.
Information about the event is also available on our facebook page.
At the 2018 event on Saturday 25th August we will have a Viking feast that you can participate in at 7 pm. Price for the dinner is 32,00 euros / person, children 4-14 years old are half price. Please make a booking in advance with firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone +358 40 218 2960, or fill in the form below and hit “send”. Please let us know in advance if you have any food allergies that should be considered.
Starting at 6 pm, we will also start selling sausages for grilling out by the fire.
Update 21.8: Dinner in the Chieftain hall is fully booked! Let us know if you wish to queue places for the dinner – then we can contact you if someone cancels their booking. Our café is open all evening serving pastries and snacks (for example, sausages and potato salad).
