When you want to visit the Viking Centre using your own boat, there are two separate possibilities for mooring. In the village harbour ( coordinates 59°51’14.4″N 22°24’54.5″E ) there is a ferry pier, where you can moor over the day. However, since the pier is open for everyone, and half of it is reserved for ferry traffic, it can be quite crowded in the summertime.
The Viking Centre’s own jetty is located slightly to the West, roughly a 5 minute walk from the Viking Centre.
Coordinates are 59°51’10.1″N 22°24’39.7″E
The closest street address is Fyrvaktarvägen 15, the jetty is at the end of Fyrvaktarvägen. Temporary parking is possible for 4 cars, but there are no other services available besides mooring.
The jetty is only for mooring over the day. For visitors planning to stay over-night in the boat, we recommend Rosala guest harbour TB-Marin ( next bay to the north from the village harbour, coordinates 59°51’48.6″N 22°25’12.6″E ).
